About the Event
Did you find yourself in the excitement of spirituality and buy a tarot card deck that you have no idea how to use? It doesn't have to be *that deep* to use and interpret tarot! You don't need to know much to have a great time with your tarot cards! In fact, it can help if you don't! A beginner's mind is a helpful asset on your spiritual journey.
This is a beginner's tarot workshop with A Medium Named Bri! Bri is a self-taught tarot LOVER. They bought their first deck 8 years ago and uses them as a daily tool within her personal life and her business. Bri has hosted Tarot events with over 200 people in attendance, reading and interpreting tarot in front of a large audience with sincerity and humour, and hosts weekly tarot on instagram where we get tarot guidance for the collective! Needless to say, Bri & tarot are besties.Â
Tarot cards are a really fun and insightful way to gain clarity and challenge us in different areas of our lives. Tarot has become a really popular outlet for self-care and self-reflection, and there are hundreds of beautiful decks to choose from! There are also many ways to learn and interpret tarot, and Bri is going to share their own personal ways in which she connects with them and uses them to guide herself and her clients along their path! Each teacher brings something unique to the table with tarot, and in this workshop you will experience a modern, light, and cheerful perspective of tarot (maybe even a lil' cheeky). Bri believes tarot is an accessible spiritual tool that doesn't have to be complicated in order for you to benefit from it. If you're looking for the in-depth history and breakdown of tarot - you won't get much from this, but here's what you will get!
- What is tarot and how do you use it
- How to pick a deck
- Caring for your deck
- Tarot vs oracle cards
- What to ask your deck, how to use it for guidance
- Your intuition vs tarot
- How to shuffle and choose cards
- Spreads (cards, not hummus)
- Types of cards (breakdown of minor/major arcana & the suits)
- How to remember different cards, and piece them togetherÂ
- Tarot's gift of storytellingÂ
- Bringing yourself into the reading
- Interpreting messages for yourself
- Group self-reading
- Prepare for lots of metaphors, some friends references, and silliness
That's the tea! We're keeping it cute and fun with a maximum of 30 spots in this workshop. You'll need a notebook for the workshop. It's also *super super super* helpful if you have a tarot deck to follow along with. It's not mandatory, but you'll get way more from it.Â
Pets on camera are encouraged.Â
